Undercover Tonneau Cover

Review for the Undercover:

I've heard all the questions about this cover.

It's plastic how can it be strong? Is it secure? Can you paint it? Is it waterproof?

I can absolutely say that Undercover lives up to its claims. What an amazing product. The first thing you notice when you take it out of the box is how light it is. The cover only weighs 58lbs. The Undercover web site claims a quick and easy install. Boy, were they right, it took me about 10 minutes with a friend helping to install the hardware and attach the cover.

It's plastic how can it be strong? Their advertising shows a junior hockey team standing on the cover. I didn't have a hockey team handy ,so I got on top of it with my wife and kids. I'm no small guy and the cover never even felt like it would give way.

Is it secure? The dual locking system is very secure. The covered keyed locks look great and lend to the styling of the cover. I installed the hardware for the cover, put the cover in place and locked it. First try with only one little adjustment.

Can you paint it? Yes, you can paint it. It has to be smoothed and a special plastics primer have to be done but it can be painted.

Is it water proof? Since I've had the cover it has either rained or snowed once a week. After driving it in the rain and snow I decided to check and see for myself if it leaked. Nope. The Bedrug was completely dry.

The construction is incredible. One look at the underside of the cover and you can see why it is strong. The finish on the top looks shiny and classy. At a cost way under the fiberglass construction tonneaus and just slightly higher than a soft tonneau it's the best of both worlds. Light, strong and beautiful.
